In a study in 1962 showed that 13 percent of the U.S. population is overweight. When the study was repeated in 1980, this figure rose to 15 percent and in 1994 this figure rose to 23 percent. Finally, in 2000, obesity has become a major health problem in America reached with statistics stiff 31 percent.

Hospitals in the United States reported that obesity claims nearly 300,000 lives per year. These statistics show that obesity is the biggest challenge for health professionals’ face, and there is an urgent need for diagnosis and medication.

Most popular statistical tests done on Obesity CDC states found that almost 63 percent of adults with a Body Mass Index (BMI) over 25 and many of them are overweight. At least a quarter of them over 30 questions and obesity evident. Most frightening of all kinds of statistics and the biggest concern is obesity in children. Research shows that obesity in children, a number three times in two decades.

To control a new report on obesity and weight have shown that there is a serious problem of obesity in the population and also shows that nearly 3.8 million Americans weigh over 300 pounds and about 400,000 Americans and men, especially in the category of 400 lbs.

Obesity statistics are really frightening to the average U.S. population and people should immediately take precautions to avoid further increases the risk not only health but also the cost of health care. Obesity can lead to various fatal diseases over time.
